He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Sterling and Earlou Britt Sterling; and his sister Susan Moody. He is survived by: his wife Martha Rosson Sterling of Parsons, TN; his stepsons, James Western of Parsons, TN and Tracy Western of Lexington, TN; and his brother Gary Sterling of Parsons, TN. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations made to the Funeral Home for funeral expense.
