She was predeceased by: her husband Willie Cates; her parents, Lillie McKnight and Arbin McKnight; her children, Virgil Cates and Resia Keeton; her siblings, Ellis McKnight, Amos McKnight, Letha Hicks, Onita Carlton and Virginia Hinson; and her grandson Joel Cates.
She is survived by: her daughter Jo Ann Roach of Parsons, TN; her sisters, Mary Love Rhodes of Linden, TN and Margaret Ivey of Parsons, TN; and her grandchildren, Ricky Lynn Cook, Erica Keeton, Kaelyn Brooke Vaughan, Tina Roach, Amy Warbritton and Nila Roach. She is also survived by 7 Great Grandchildren.
