He was predeceased by: his wife Raynell Box; his parents, Ula Box and Loy Box; and his siblings, J. B. Box, Junior Box, Tommy Box, Lavone Hosford, Sue Baker, Hauruth Witson and Helen Mays.

He is survived by: his children, David Lee Box of Parsons, TN and Melody Lynn Hayes of Parsons, TN; his siblings, Charles Gene Box of Lexington, TN, Billy Box of Dyersburg, TN, Edward Box of Parsons, TN, Larry Box of Parsons, TN and Mayrene Pratt of Tiptonville, TN; and his grandchildren, Madison Hayes of Parsons, TN, William Hayes of Parsons, TN, Daniel Hayes of Parsons, TN, Michael Box of Parsons, TN and Rachel Box of Parsons, TN. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Parsons Mortuary (134 W 2nd St, Parsons, TN 38363). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Parsons Mortuary Chapel (134 W 2nd St, Parsons, TN 38363). A burial was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at the New Prospect Cemetery (849 Prospect Rd, Holladay, TN 38341).
