He is survived by: his wife Sonja; his children, Bobby Hayes (Nadine), John Allen Hayes (Tammy), Chub Hayes (Carolyn), Charlie Hayes and Shurl Hall; his grandchildren, Nerissa Hayes, Allison Frisbee (Eric), Michael Hayes (Katie), Amber Freeman, Cara Lee Hayes, Kelby Hayes (Megan), Veronica Hayes (Jordan), Adam Smith (Vanessa), Andy Smith (Jennifer), Sonja Lee Hayes, Estasha Ledford and Lala Mae Willis; his sisters, Ozell Ellison, Kathleen Campbell (Hobert) and Bessie Hanson; his sister-in-law Christine Hayes; and his close friend Joe Banks. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
