With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Arlen James Holt of Parrottsville, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 20, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Holt and Hassie Holt; his wife Zella Mae Ottinger Holt; and his sister Shirley Davis. He is survived by: his son Wesley; his daughter-in-law Michelle Holt; his granddaughters, Gabrielle Holt and Victoria Mathes (Josh); his siblings, Marlene Huff, Linda Hatter, Kathy Fillers (Ted), Alice Stonecypher (Ben), Tommy Holt (Judy), Johnny Holt (Lois), Bob Holt and Jack Holt; and his caregiver Aileen Solomon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 7:00 AM, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home (1125 Tusculum Blvd, Greeneville, TN 37745). A procession was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery (2160 Little Meadow Creek Rd, Greeneville, TN 37743).
