He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Edward Nichols and Juanita Oleta Jones Nichols; his wife Faye Jean Savary Nichols; and his brothers, Jim Lee Nichols and Charles Nichols.
He is survived by: his children, Kristy Waltz (Phillip) of Velva, ND, Karalyn Jacobs (Jason) of Brownsburg, IN, Beverly Wells (Ken) of Paris, TN, Barry Nichols of Memphis, TN and Alein Nichols (Anna) of Alvarado, TX; his brother Johnny Midgette; his grandchildren, Nicholas Waltz, Joseph Walz, Caitlyn Waltz, Kevin Elliott, Melissa Elliott, Cashea Nichols, Kaylen Nichols, Glen Leon Nichols, Donald Nichols, Kevin Nichols, Madelynne Brazile, Abigail Hastings and Samuel Wells; and his friends, Dennis and Barbara Griffin. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
