She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Walter R. Burnett and Margaret Coffelt Burnett; her husband Charles David Grimes; and her brother Billy Ray Burnett. She is survived by: her children, Edward Grimes, Diane Grimes and Amy Smith (Barry); her brother David Burnett (Karen); and her grandchildren, Christopher, Katelynn and Chelsea Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
