He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Stephen and Christine Sanders Knowles; his stepmother Evelyn Shipley Knowles; his father-in-law Doyle Burrell; his stepbrother Darryl Shipley; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Skelton and Ron Davis.
He is survived by: his spouse Doyalette Burrell Knowles of Ooltewah, TN; his daughter Tina Knowles Tripp (Adam) of Lavonia; his grandsons, David and Jon Erik Tripp of Lavonia, GA; his sisters, Sandy Skelton Davis and Vicki Stapleton (James) of Kingsport; his stepsiblings, Vanessa Shipley Sales (Jim), Alan Shipley (Lisa) and Doyle Shipley; and his parents-in-law, Joyce Burrell, Jeff, Sherri Burrell, Bobby, Pam Burrell Skelton, Denise Burrell, Shane and Candace Burrell Stone. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
