It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtle Greene of Ooltewah, Tennessee, born in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on October 20, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Stewart and Eleanor Jean Stewart; and her sister Carol Sue Lopez. She is survived by: her children, Melissa Weddle and Gerald "Chip" Greene; her grandsons, Joshua Weddle (Arleny), Spencer Weddle and Nicholas Greene; her great grandchild Lainey Weddle; and her siblings, Rick Stewart, Janet Metcalf, Bonnie Lynda Spencer, Nancy Louise Serrato, Patricia Edith Marcott and Kenneth Byron Powelson Jr.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

On Saturday, October 24th, 2020, there will be a private celebration of her life due to social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donations to go to Collegedale Academy's Worthy Student Fund, in honor of Elaine's love for children and Christian education.

“Chip and Missy, Just learned of your Mom's passing within last few days. I am deeply sorry for your loss, your Mom was a great baby sitter to me and a very caring person who gave of herself to help others. I always appreciated her giving my brother and I a ride home to westlake after elementary school. My memories of her are many years ago but she did impact me in a positive way and I am thankful to have known her. Ted F.”
