It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larayne Newman of Ooltewah, Tennessee, who passed away on December 11, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Walter H. Newman; her parents, Beryl Whitford and Luella Whitford (Coon); her siblings, Claudia Marrs, Curtis Whitford and Verla Price; and her daughter Cindi Silverstein.
She is survived by: her brother Claire Whitford; her children, Douglas Wellman, Connie Peters (Richard Peters) and Loren Wellman Jr.; her grandchildren, Tiffany Kelly (Thomas Kelly), Ashley Perrystein (Heather Perrystein) and Jessica Peters; and her great grandchild Tommy Kelly. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
