He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Echerd and Flora Echerd; his wife Kathryn Sylar Echerd; his children, Hartly Echerd (Rona), Amy Fowler (Jimmy) and Cynda Holmes (Dale); and his grandchildren, Ian Fowler, Laura Echerd Slayton, Elisha Fowler and Jameson Sylar Holmes. He was also cherished by four great-grandchildren.
