He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal Vaughn Lawson and Buddy Williams; his brother Edward Williams; and his grandson Evan Williams. He is survived by: his wife Ann L. Williams; his children, James D. Williams, Jr., Stevie Williams, Larrie Howard, Penny Howard and Debbie Whitmire (James); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Whitmire, Jerry Fitzgerald, Jr. and Jacob Howard. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.
