She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Owen and Dorothy Owen; her sisters, Barbara Coppinger, Trish Mills and Jo Ann Long; and her stepson Carter Dethero.
She is survived by: her husband Boyd Dethero of Ooltewah; her stepson-in-law Benjamin James of Mount Pleasant; her grandchildren, Maggie, Henry and Allie James of Mount Pleasant; and her siblings, Connie Mooney, Marilyn Malley and John Owens. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
