He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Cooper and Clovella Lee Griffin Cooper; his siblings, Bob Cooper and Judy Walker; his grandson Justin Michael Simpson; and his great grandchild John Luke Petty.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Cooper; his children, Carolyn A. Simpson (R. J. Kitkowski) of Enterprise, AL, Robert Cooper (Beverly) of Harrison, TN, James Cooper (Kimberly) of Rising Fawn, GA and Christopher Cooper (Brooke) of Jasper, TN; and his brother Ronald Cooper (Mildred) of Chattanooga, TN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
