It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Samuel Vandergriff of Ooltewah, Tennessee, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on March 28, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Vandergriff and Etta Mae Gouger (Rothwell); and his siblings, Bill Padgett, John Padgett, Jr., Brina "Sue" Adcox, Barney Padgett and Mildred Vandergriff Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judy" Vandergriff (Jones); his children, Lauren Faczan (Ben) and Charles Jeffrey "Cejay" Vandergriff; and his granddaughters, Ashlea Riden (Brad Loveless) and Joshlyne Vandergriff.
