She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Jewell "Dude" Pickett and Leoka Pickett Denton; her daughter Rhonda Cates; and her siblings, Onita Davis, Ralph, Jeff, Wendell and Vernon Pickett.
She is survived by: her sons, Roger D. Cates (Sherri) and Rickey D. Cates (Pam); her grandchildren, Ashley Commander (Chad), Riley Cates (Leighanna Paige), Brittany Pulliam (Damon) and Carson Cates; her great grandchildren, Jackson, Ella, Brooklyn, Ruby, Oliver and Sawyer; her siblings, Glenda Evans (Jack), Lemma Brackett (Jim), Mona Lisa Hudson and Virgil Pickett (Diane); her nephew David Geren (Laura); and her friends, Jim and Betty Renner.
