He was predeceased by: his parents, Lealon Bond and Ruth Bond; his brothers, Dewey, James (Bob) and Jerry Bond; his siblings-in-law, Willard Duncan, Tony, Timmy Bridges, Garry Massengale, Margie Bond, Harriett Lee Bond, Cathy Massengale and Amy Strunk; his father-in-law Kermit; and his nephew Garry Lee Massengale, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jean Bond; his son Jamie M. Bond; his grandchildren, Jamie Leann Hughett (Jordan) of Winfield, Petty Officer, Phillip Byrd, Private Chloe Byrd, Brenley and Briland Norris; his great grandchild Kyndall Byrd; his siblings, Harold Bond (Naomi) of Ohio, Estel Bond (Wonnell), Eugene Bond of Oneida, Ralph Bond (Joann), Ruby Duncan and Joyce Ann Greene (Clifford); and his siblings-in-law, Rosaline Bond of Ohio, Paula Bond, Margaret Bond of Oneida, Mary Chambers (Duane), Jerry Bridges (Debbie) of Florida and David Bridges (Ronnie) of Oneida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
