Jimmy Yancey Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Yancey of Oneida, Tennessee, who passed away on December 30, 2020, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jimmy Yancey to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his father Bernard Yancey; his brother DouglasYancey; and his grandparents, Lemuel, Ethel Yancey, Joseph and Carrie Hughes.

He is survived by: his mother Bessie Hughes Yancey; his wife Helen Yancey; his children, Chris Yancey (Bo) and Lori Christopher (David); his sister Karen Griffith (Donald); and his grandchildren, Moriah Stephens, Stone Yancey, Brody Yancey, Rygel Yancey and Jep Yancey. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

It saddens our hearts, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic and our goal to protect our family and friends, we have chosen not to have a visitation or public service.
