He is survived by: his children, Canaan Lay and Clairee Lay; his siblings, Ruby Robinson, Jerry of Winona, Gary of Winona, Roger "Dipstick" Jeffers of Winona and Homer Jeffers (Phyllis) of Robbins; his nieces and nephews, Daniel Blevins of Oneida, TN, J. R. Bruce of Robbins, TN, Lexi Bruce of Robbins, TN and Cara Brown (Alex) of Williamsburg, KY; and his aunts, Onnie Newport of Winona, TN, L. A. Newport of Oneida, TN and Jewel Newport (Burnice) of Robbins, TN.. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home (18641 Alberta St, Oneida, TN 37841). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
