He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelbert Sexton and Carmen Sexton; his siblings, Janie Blevins, Louise Hatcher and Leon Sexton; and his brothers-in-law, Junior Goodman, Herman Blevins and Hillard Hatcher.

He is survived by: his nephews, Edward Blevins and Frankie Hatcher; and his sisters, Nelda Goodman of Oneida and Dean Hatcher of Bowling Green, Kentucky. He is also survived by Several Nieces, Nephews, relatives and friends.
