He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Owens and Virginia Trollinger Owens of Dalton, GA.; his son Houston Owens; his former wife Kathy Joan Owens; his grandson Nathan C. Chambers; and his brother Alvin Eugene Owens.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Owens (Angie), Anthony Owens (Sheena), Tim Strunk and Leasia Cordle (Jeff); his stepsons, Brian Black (Lisa) and Boyd Black (Debra); his fiancée Pam Jones; his daughter Miranda E. Clayborn; and his close friend Chad Jones. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, as well as many other family members, friends.
