She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Shelton and Ora Shelton; her husband Chester Slaven; her siblings, Rema Hitch and Joe Shelton; her parents-in-law, Arnie and Mitchel Slaven; her siblings-in-law, Lula Slaven, Mac Slaven and Dorsey Thompson; her nephew Timothy Thomas; and her niece Cathy Neer.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Phillips (Karie), Debbie Gibson (Benny), Ron McCartt and Cindy Day (Randall); her grandchildren, Telisha, Krista, Trevor McCartt and Eric Gibson (Ashley); her great grandchildren, Shalena, Miranda, Alexis, Eli and Avery; her siblings, Jack Shelton (Brenda), Jim Shelton (Patsy) and Marie Slaven Thompson; and her siblings-in-law, Winford Slaven (Faye) and Marie Thomas (Gayson). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
