He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Leon Byrd and Minnie Byrd (Cross); his grandparents, Berry Byrd, Linda Byrd (Burress), Andrew Cross and Celia Cross (Massengale); and his grandson Logan Strunk.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Byrd (Dimple), Connie Strunk (Steve), Jamie Byrd, Mark Byrd and Greg Byrd; and his siblings, Tom Byrd (Billie), Les Byrd, Chester Byrd (Jolene), Gary Byrd (Sheila), Lela Washam (John) and Reeda Byrd. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
