He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Ellis and Artie Sloan Lathem Ellis; and his siblings, Bobby Wayne Ellis (Margaret), Ruby Ellis Byrd (Bob Byrd), Billie Ellis York (Albert) and Artie June Ellis Moore (John). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends, including his church family.
