He was predeceased by: his wife Margie A. Byrd; and his children, Deborah Smith-Hernicz, Charles Byrd, Michael Brow and Robert Brow.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara, Patty, Connie, Kathy, Jimmy and Brenda; his grandchildren, Julie Smith (Tim), Sarah Lambert (Tim), Michael Hernicz, Adam Hernicz, Christina, Teresa, Steven, Nicole, Jacob, Levi, Sally, John, Jessie, Mikie, Jason, Jennifer, David, Roger and Ashley; his close friends, Mike Hernicz and Roger Stewart; and his caregiver Vickie Miller. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
