He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Carson and Lavada Laxton Carson; his wife Shirley Laxton Carson; and his siblings, Ovia Carson, Odell Carson, Arvil Carson, Nannie Mae Lane, Rosalee Thomas and Sylvia Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, Scarlett Carson Wirt of Laurel, MD and Jared Arzo Carson (Michelle) of Huntsville; and his grandchildren, John Carson (Emily) of Robbins and Merry Carson Lay (Hughston) of Andersonville, TN.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
