He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Walter Gibson; his grandmother Lee Boshears Gibson; his grandson Michael Newport; his siblings, David "Buster" Gibson, Mary Etta Mills and Edna Carol; his daughters, Rachael Shafer (Christopher) and Amanda Newport (Daniel); his stepson Donnie West; his son Shane Finley; his grandchildren, Dylan, Sadie Shafer, Kelby, Adrian and Andrew Newport; his sister Deborah Thomas (Larry); his brother-in-law Van Mills; his niece Destiney Letner; and his nephews, Tyler Terry and Scott Mills. He was also cherished by many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
