Alice (Lackey) Byrge Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice (Lackey) Byrge of Oneida, Tennessee, who passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Lackey and Laura Lackey; the father of her children Verlin Byrge; her children, Dewayne Smith, Junior Byrge and Decky Byrge; her daughter-in-law Sherri Overton; and her siblings, Susie Clark, Paulina Stephens, Wilma Buttram, Harold Lackey and R. T. Lackey.
She is survived by: her children, Verlin Byrge (Barney) and Donald Ray Byrge (Megan Terry); her sister Cledus Cook; her close friend Libby Davidson; and her niece Lou Lackey Lindsay (Alice). She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives.
