He was predeceased by: his great-aunt Phyllis; his grandparents, Donald, Helen Ray, Don Hendrix and Jimmy Giles; and his nephew Ethan Grindle.

He is survived by: his grandparents, Ron, Rita Gehrts, Fred, Wilma Stagnolia, Norman Boling and Linda Giles; his mother Angela Stagnolia; his stepfather Randy Stagnolia; his father Ryan Gehrts; his stepmother Kim Gehrts; his siblings, Kirstie Grindle (Zach), Alix Seiber (Skylar), Cassie Braden (Cory), Andrew Stagnolia, Austin Stagnolia, Erica Giles, Tegan Hardie (Eli), Nick Gehrts, Sam Gehrts and DJ Wells-Gehrts; his stepsister Stacia West (Amy); his nieces, Everly Grindle and Delaney Seiber; his aunts and uncles, Ronda Huffstetler, Randy Gehrts, Lisa Holt, Jennifer Jordan and Darrell Ray; and his close friends, Brady, Cole Jackson, Evan Martin and Blake Nation. He is also survived by great uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

“I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I had words that could offer comfort. Ryle was a friend of my son, Mason. I got the privilege of meeting Ryle a few times. He even came to our house to ride our dirt bike with my son and a few other boys. He was such a polite and sweet kid. Him and my son share a bday. They were even born the same year. I pray God wraps his arms around you during this time. Our Deepest Condolences, Daniel and Nicole Oliver (Parents of Mason Cagley)”
