He was predeceased by: his parents, James Monroe Phillips and Elsie Davis Phillips; and his siblings, Leroy, Meredith, Glen Phillips, Evelyn Messer, Ashia Seiber, Selma Dean Collett and Jackie Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Fay Gaylor Phillips of Oliver Springs; his son Michael Anthony Phillips (Mike) of Oliver Springs; his granddaughter Morgan Phillips of Knoxville, TN; and his sister Jean Carter of Oliver Springs. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of special friends.
