She was predeceased by: her parents, William Allen Mason, Jr. and Nellie Freeman Fouche; her husbands, Timothy Hicks and Thomas Love; and her great grandchild Maya Foster.

She is survived by: her brother William "Bill" Mason II (Jane); her daughter Christine Gill (Tonia Brown); her granddaughters, Brittanie Saxon and Jessica Ortega (Pablo); her great grandchildren, Antwain Saxon, Luis Ortega-Rocha, Rosanna Ortega-Rocha and Isabelle Ortega-Rocha; her nephews, Derrick Mason (Shannan) of Cartersville, GA and Patrick Mason (Amy) of Pace, FL; her niece Elisa Ruopoli (Michael) of Charleston, SC; and her brother Phil Rice.
