With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Larry Bishop of Old Hickory, Tennessee, who passed away on December 23, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, James Larry shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid James Larry farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Barnhill Bishop. He is survived by: his daughters, Ellen Bishop May (Jeff) and Julie Chitwood (Rick); his grandchildren, Greg May (Pressley), Cody Chitwood (Bailey) and Paige Brandon (Cody); and his great grandchildren, Mason May, Lucy Brandon and Hannah Brandon.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hermitage Funeral Home (535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138). A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
