She was predeceased by: her parents, Mattie Cain Dunn Sluder and Roy Dunn; her son Dale Parker; her stepfather Arthur Sluder; and her sister Glenda Brown.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence "Junior" Cates; her daughters, Ginger Wilcox and Lisa Bargeron; her grandchildren, Bo Chambers, Christopher "Blake" Wilcox (Heather), Brett Wilcox (Katie), Beth Stinnett (Daniel), Britney Chambers, Brandi Bargeron (Bryce Bramlett) and Brooke Burnette (Donny); and her great grandchildren, Canaan Wilcox, Zeke Wilcox, Madison Stinnett, Avery Stinnett and Bryer Wilcox.
