She was predeceased by: her former husband J. C. Bates; her mother Haley Watts; and her siblings, Margaret Hall, Theresa Gregg, Patsy Meyers, Carl Watts, Phillip "Bull" Watts and Sue Gregg.
She is survived by: her husband David Puckett; her children, Margaret Wix, Marilyn Bates, Gayle Taylor (Dean Carver), Mitchell Bates (Joan) and Eric Bates (Julie); her grandchildren, Andrew "Drew" Taylor, Mickey Bates (Kalyn), Sydney Harmon (Kason), Jacob Bates and Emily Graham; her great grandchild Braxton Taylor; and her sister Sandra Brown.
