He was predeceased by: his son Ryan Shane Cole; his stepfather Jimmy Wilson; and his grandparents, Ezra, Dorothy Mays, Carnell, Cordelia and Bennie Cole.

He is survived by: his parents, Janice Mays Wilson of Troy and Donnie Cole (Kim) of Winchester; his son Tyler Cole of Obion; his sisters, Donna Lee Northam (Scott) of Troy and Ashleigh Summers (Brandon) of Sewanee; his nephew Garrett Northam of Troy; and his nieces, Meagan Northam of Troy, Ryleigh of Sewanee and Chesney Summers of Sewanee.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations by made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
