He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery E. Burden and Deria Flowers Burden; his daughter Wanda Wade; his brother Wesley Burden; and his son-in-law Tommy Hepler.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy James Burden of Obion; his daughters, Penny Hepler of Union City, Linda Ivy of Humboldt and Jenny Rogers of Union City; and his siblings, Gene Burden (Sue) of Huntingdon, Ray Burden (Elaine) of Union City, Joyce Albright of Obion, June Thomas (Jerry) of Union City and Pat Kirby of Union City. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
