Though Carolyn may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Andrew and Selma Laveda Durham (Sanford). She is survived by: her husband Gilbert Newsom of Obion; her daughter Diana Choate (David) of Obion; her grandchildren, Ashley Wetzel (Cody) of Hornbeak and Kyle Choate of Obion; her great grandchild Michael Wetzel of Hornbeak; and her siblings, Jewel Durham Newsom, Betty Ann Durham Maynard of South Fulton and Jimmy Harris Durham of Hornbeak.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home (1200 S Miles Ave, Union City, TN 38261). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Stanley's Chapel Cemetery (5346 Stanley Chapel Church Rd, Union City, TN 38261).
