She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Schmidt and Helen Jones Schmidt; her husband Charles E. Gain; and her siblings, Barbara Weaver, Mary Lou Davidson and Bill "Sunny" Schmidt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melinda Pashby (Scott) of Oakland, TN, Brenda Hettinger (Rocky) of Tucson, AZ and Cynthia Hill of Memphis, TN; her siblings, Francis Jean Fornarotto of Bricktown, NJ and Tom Schmidt (Joyce) of Jonesboro, AR; and her grandchildren, Ashley Stumbo, Brandon Davis, Aaron Williams, Amanda Krivacs, Felicia Hill and Jonathan Hill. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
