He was predeceased by: his father Herman McMillin; and his wife Kay McMillin. He is survived by: his children, Amanda Howell of Gleason, Tennessee, Steven McMillin of Trezevant, David McMillin (Penny) and Jonathan McMillin of Gleason, Tennessee; and his brother Dennis McMillin of Ashland City, Tennessee. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
