He was predeceased by: his wife Laura H. Helton; his parents, Beulah Helton and Sam Helton of Oakdale; and his siblings, Wayne, Tony, Gary, Sammy, Alice "Sis" and Ellen Sue.
He is survived by: his sisters, Janice Holder and Geraldine Reynolds; his brother-in-law Johnny; his daughters, Kim (Gerald Clark), Karen (David McDonald) and Marsha (Matthew Hamby); his grandchildren, Jennifer Nelson (Dexter), Heather Tilson (Josh), Aaron Helton (Chelsea), Brent Hamby (Jennifer), Jesse Clark (Cortney), Brittany Lowe (Jesse), Courtney Helton (Chris), Caroline McDonald, Kaylee Read (Rick) and Madison Clark; and his great grandchildren, Emily, Annabelle, Grant Helton, Eddie, Salem Nelson, Emma Hamby, Mia, Able Tilson, Colton, Cameron, Kinley Clark and Carsyn Hinds. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
