With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald Craig Black Sr. (Oak Ridge, Tennessee), who passed away on December 8, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Craig Black and Catherine Black. He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn; his sons, Ron (Laura), Chris (Sonya) and Adam (Corbin); his grandchildren, Donovan, Cameron, Caden, Elijah, Micah, Seth and Bryson; his sister Audrey; his uncle Terrell Hudson of Atlanta, GA; his niece Salena; his cousin James Almond (Lilly); and his close friends, Walter Best, John Clark, Steve Grigsby, Larry Ogle, Robert S. May and Max Resnik. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Weatherford Mortuary (158 S Jefferson Cir, Oak Ridge, TN 37830). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920).
