It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elwood Holmes Gift of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, born in Westernport, Maryland, who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Herbert Gift and Gladys Iliff Gift; his brothers, Paul Gift and James Gift; his former wife Jean Warren Scott; and his stepdaughter Joan Meredith.
He is survived by: his children, Andrew Elwood Gift of Denver, Jonathan Stuart Gift (Shey) of Nokesville, Virginia and Laura Elizabeth Gift of Oak Ridge; his stepson Mark Meredith (Suzanne) of Lenoir City; his grandchildren, Nora, Emma, Joe, Amanda and Sara; and his stepgranddaughters, Amy and Wendy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church (212 N Tulane Ave, Oak Ridge, TN 37830).
