It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy R. Thomas (Oak Ridge, Tennessee), who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Robbie T. Reynolds; his stepfather John W. Reynolds; and his brother Kimmie Rowe. He is survived by: his wife Rev. M. Beatrice Thomas; his children, Keith Thomas, Michael Thomas and Tanetta Hamilton; his siblings, Gwendolyn Kirkland, Louis Thomas (Karen), Debra Brabson, Wanda Thomas, Darlene Frazier, Pamela Skinner (Johnny) and Timothy Rowe (Bobbie); his grandchildren, Marcus Thomas, Shantayah Thomas, DeAndre McGaughey, Kambria Thomas, Avery Thomas, Shayla Thomas, Kamari Thomas, Taeshaune Hamilton and Tremaine Moulden; and his great grandchildren, Isaiah Saxton-Barnes, Aaliyah Saxton-Barnes, Jenniah Saxton-Barnes, Camden Rudd and Nico McGaughey.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Weatherford Mortuary (158 S Jefferson Cir, Oak Ridge, TN 37830). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Tn Veterans Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920).
A repast will follow the Celebration of Life at Spurgeon Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church 100 South Benedict Avenue Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37830, The Interment service is Thursday, January 23, 2025 - 10:00 a.m. at East Tennessee State Veterans' Cemetery 2200 East Governor John Sevier Hwy.
