He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Mangrum and Elsie Metcalf Mangrum; and his siblings, Roy Lee Mangrum, James Edward Mangrum Jr. and Mary Evelyn Mangrum.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Mangrum; his children, Rusty Mangrum of Tullahoma, Jesse Mangrum (Joanna) of Estill Springs and Joyce Turek of Normandy; and his brother Harold Mangrum of Smyrna. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
