She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Waters and Sallie Morton; and her sisters, Margaret Jobe, Edna Bradley and Mary Davis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Valerie Anderson, Monica Gordon (Michael) and Shanda Jones (Brandon); her grandchildren, Avery McKissack, Geneva Gordon, Raegan Jones, Mykalin Gordon and Brandon Jones II; her great grandchild Emmy McKissack; her siblings, Dorothy McClain, Gloria Morton, Edward Morton (Darlene), Elder Mackie Morton (Jacqueline), Hazel Shaw, Rosie Samuels (Valentine) of Detroit, Michigan, Elder Robert Shaw (Yvette) and Lemon Shaw (Hattie); her aunt Dorothy Morton; and her stepsister Jackie Waters. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
