He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Margie Cagle and Lee Roy Cagle; his wife Teri Cagle; his children, James Cagle (Kelly), Jenny Cagle and Stel Alfonso (Brandy); his grandchildren, Taylor Cagle, Kristin Goins, Dylan Goins, Justin Goins, Andru Alfonso, Alyssa Alfonso and Josalyn Alfonso; and his brother Roy Cagle (Marcella). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews.
