She was predeceased by: her parents, John J Sturgill and Myrtle Irene Johnson Sturgill; her husband Jay Elden Armstrong; and her brothers, Frank Sturgill, Jack Sturgill, Ray Sturgill, Dan Sturgill, Joe Sturgill and Henry Sturgill.
She is survived by: her brother Carl Sturgill of Niota, Tenn.; her stepsons, Robb Armstrong of Chino and Calif; and her sister-in-law Alline Thomas Sturgill (Tenn) of Riceville.
