He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Smith and Nancy E. Smith (Monroe); his daughter Lisa Smith; his grandson Nicholus Smith; his sisters, Helen Hickman, Johnnie Luther and Georgia Busbee; and his brothers-in-law, Lester Hickman, Jim Luther and Junior Dady.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon H. Schoville; his children, Jody Grayless (Mark) of Janesville, WI, Hoyt Smith (Lori) of Elkhorn, WI and Randy Smith (Christine) of Charlotte, NC; and his siblings, Shirley Dady of Aurora, IL, Caroline Smith of Crawfordville, FL, Arlin Smith (Jeanne) of Porterville, CA and Bill Frank (Cathy) of Crawfordville, FL. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren.
