He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Ray and Emma Ray (Blankenship); and his brother John Ray. He is survived by: his wife Lorna Ray; his children, Rodney Ray (Donna) and Teresa White (Shane); his siblings, Todd Ray and Jodi Ray (Lori); his grandchildren, Lexie Labonte, Lorelei White, Lucas White, Jordan Turner and Ryan Ray; and his great grandchild Avery Kimborough.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers that donations be made to parkinson.org in the fight against Parkinson's Disease.
