With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Ghorley of Niota, Tennessee, born in Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on May 22, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Ghorley and Mary Edna McMillian Ghorley; and his wife Imogene R. Goins Ghorley. He is survived by: his daughter Candie; his son-in-law Dr. Casey Hewgley of Spring City, TN.; his son Mike; his daughter-in-law Turrah Ghorley of Sweetwater, TN.; his grandchildren, Mike Ghorley, Shane Ghorley (Jamie), Preston Hewgley (Hannah) and Cason Hewgley (Katelyn); and his sister Edna Carolyn Allison of Kentucky. He is also survived by 7 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Great-Great Grandchildren.
